TRIP TO GERMANY: VEGAN FOOD HEAVEN !!!

I wish the pictures were better quality as they don’t represent the deliciousness of the food at all.

I can only urge to go to Germany if you love plant based/vegan food. Especially in Berlin you will find everything your heart desires 

In Leipzig I had:

Vegan duck on rice & vegetables as well as vegan chickn wings, dumplings and spring rolls anchay.leipzig

Also amazing vegan breakfast at maitreleipzig  especially the homemade rolls.

Berlin:

I went to holyflat and had the biggest wrap possible with caramelized hazelnuts, truffle aioli, vegetables, avocado etc.
they also have amazing bowls 

Weimar:

My favourite ever Syrian Restaurant damasweimar :

falafel and hummus, flatbread and fries 

Compared to the UK, food is so cheap also

I was given one chance to take a picture of this amazing cinnamon banana bread before my camera (battery) died 

This is so fudgy and moist and was created by the wonderful zinazanetti from nayu.app, where you can also find the recipe!!

I only added some chocolate chips on top

I am currently in Germany after more than a year and I love being reunited with my family. They mean EVERYTHING to me.

I feel at home  and I do feel like I want to move back.

And yet, it’s not the same. I have a second home in the UK where I’m surrounded by wonderful people that I already call family too.

I often feel torn between those homes and I know that whatever I decide, it comes with a sacrifice.

Maybe it’s normal to not feel at home wherever I go or wherever I am because I am still searching for something within myself and also don’t know what to expect from life.

I often pressure myself that I should have figured everything out by now, but also I kind of enjoy just letting life guide me in different directions.

It’s a super healthy and fun way of a British classic 

You can obviously add butter and sugar to the sweet potato crumble or any sort of syrup.

I may add a little bit next time I make it. But it was so delicious already especially with custard on top or some nutbutter/yoghurt.

All you need is

boiled sweet potato which you mix with oat flour and flax seed until it’s firm to crumble on chopped apples and fresh raspberries – those I mixed with cinnamon, cardamom and a dash of turmeric. Bake bake bake and enjoy

BISCOFF CHEESECAKE CUPS 

A mouthwatering and DELICIOUS treat – save this recipe, buy some lotusbiscoffuk spread and cookies and start creating this awesomeness.

base layer:

~100g oat flour (ground oats)
1 tbsp maple syrup
1tbsp biscoff spread (or nut butter)
dash of cinnamon
dash of lemon juice
dash of plant milk

Cheesecake layer:

150g silken tofu
~50g (2-3 large tbsp) biscoff spread
-1 tbsp coconut sugar
-1 tsp cinnamon
-dash of plant milk

derkleinerotekeks cookies on top 

How to: mix base layer ingredients and press into muffin tins. Blend cheesecake ingredients and add onto base layer. Freeze for 4h or overnight.

Add cookies on top and enjoy with the biggest CUPPA.

Happy Sunday  I have some exciting news for you 

If you love matcha tea or if you are currently looking for coffee and wake up alternatives I can highly recommend using matcha to get you going.

I feel lucky to present to you a unique matcha blend from naokimatcha.

There unique blends come from different regions of Japan, which vary in taste, flavour and use case.

Not all matcha is equal: you usually recognise good matcha in not only taste but also the colour.

The brighter and greener the better. I have used matcha before which often had colours of olives

You can tell that naokimatcha work closely with tea estates, masters and factories to offer a really really nice satisfying flavour. It worked so well for my as well 

Naokimatcha sell their products in the USA and Singapore, but are now launching IN THE UK 

I used their classic latte recipe to create a super silky smooth matcha latte:

1.5 tsp naokimatcha Matcha powder
30 ml water
170 ml oat milk minorfigures

 Add the matcha in to a small bowl and add the water. Mix it very well to avoid lumps. Use a bamboo whisk if you have one.

 Pour your “matcha shot” Info a glass or cup and add brown sugar (optional).

 Heat or froth your MILK OF CHOICE. Pour it gently over your matcha shot and enjoyyy.

Saying goodbye to summer is never easy even though I am a fall person through and through.

So having to have a Buddha nourish bowl one more time before I can accept soup season to be here 

On my plate:

rosemary potato wedges
couscous
fried tofu with a tahini marinade
fresh spinach leaves
rainbow slaw
some lemon, chili and herbs on top as well as more tahini marinade

(tahini, agave syrup, soya sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil)
